Last night was Mike's Annual Karate Christmas Dinner. It was held at King's Buffet in St. Thomas. OMG. I stuffed myself ridiculously full. Two plates was definitely too much. I managed to stay awake on the ride home, which was amazing since I was dozing on the way there. Definitely a lot more snow in the London/St. Thomas area than around here. The snowpocalypse that was supposed to hit today just didn't happen. When I got up, it looked like more snow had melted overnight. The parking lot just looked slushy. I could still see grass, and a brief check out the window indicates this is still the case. It is still snowing out, so perhaps tomorrow will just be really messy unless everything freezes overnight. Then it will be slippery & annoying.
Today turned into an impromptu pyjama day. Didn't really plan on not getting dressed. I redid my Charlie Brown Christmas tree & found a big branch from the front yard. I put the lights & ribbon on the branch & put it on a shelf int he living room. I think it looks pretty cool. It's amazing how I feel so drawn to light at this time of year. Soft, indistinct, diffuse light.
