wish list

Step One
♥ Make an LJ post. It can be public or friends only, whatever you’re most comfortable with. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes, and these wishes can be anything - from simple (a fan fiction written about your favorite pairing), to medium (a DVD you want), to really extravagant (a brand new laptop or car). Just make sure these are wishes for things you really truly want.

Step Two
♥ Skim through your friends list and see who has posted their own wish lists. Then - and this is the most important part - if you find a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make sure that person’s wish comes true. Sometimes a person’s trash is another person’s treasure. If you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you’re never going to use, give it to someone who wants it.

Step Three
♥ Post this wish list any time after November 1st. Then repost it two weeks before Christmas.

♥ You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday fairy - to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not, it's your call.

♥ There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1. New music recommendations based on stuff I like: Sigur Ros, Loreena McKennitt, Sarah McLaughlin, Mediaeval Baebes. Not country. Eww.

2. Lined striped mittens that have a long cuff up the arm & are not so slouchy they fall off my hands. My hands do not handle the cold well after having a bit of a frost nip one year. I can really only do mittens, not gloves since mittens keeps hands warmer.

3. Socks! Striped ones! Argyle ones! Polka dot ones! I wear a lot of blues/turquoises/purples. I don't like white/cream, I prefer dark colours. Also, over the knee socks are not so much since I have large calves, unless the OTK socks are made to fit large.

4. A really comfy awesome cowl neck sweater. Loose cowl. I don't like turtlenecks much because they always feel like a not very strong person is trying to strangle me. Or an awesome cardigan. I've been thinking apple green but I don't really know why. I do not look good in the orange-yellow spectrum. Those colours make me feel ugly.

5. Something handmade just for me. Cookies? yes. Jam? yes. Awesome journal I can doodle & art in? yes. A handwritten poem that is thence mailed to me? yes. Or, Whatever is your bag, baby.

6. An art nouveau sterling silver locket. Not heart shaped.

7. Any one of these giclees would rock my world.

8. Anything by Sabrina Ward Harrison. (except Spilling Open, which I located on the mecca of Ebay.) Some of her art is also available at Papayaart

9. Ephemera for collages, art journalling, Golden paints, brushes, pens, etc.

10. A shiny Macbook Pro.
