I'm Cherie, 38. Canadian. I work in a law firm as a receptionist, completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training this past June, and make stuff (jewellery, painting, art journalling, crochet, whatever). I've been practicing yoga for almost 6 years & still feel that curiosity & eagerness of a beginner. I haven't started teaching yoga yet, but I do plan to get to that point. I love cups of tea, chai & nomming chocolate. Mmm.
I have a BA in English Language & Literature. I have had a few poems published, and that kind of freaked me out. I can be a voracious reader when the fit strikes me & stay up all night until my vision is blurry. I have fallen head over heels for Charles de Lint's work. I reference a lot of pop culture when I have regular conversations, and I'm sure that filters into my writing here too. I could bounce from Monty Python to The Breakfast Club & back to Ren & Stimpy in 1.8 nanoseconds. Trust me, I have a comfy chair & I know how to use it.
I have a sweetie, Mike, and we've been together for 14 years, living gloriously in sin. Our books are now irrevocably intermingled with each other, never to be separated properly again. Mike tries to drive over me with the shopping cart at the grocery store & hijinks always ensue wherever we go. We met after I finished university & came home. We didn't quite take to each other right away, but we figured it out, eventually.
I've been into Supernatural from the start, but not active in the fandom until the past year. I send postcards to the cast & crew every year to thank them for their hard work. Show is 'date night' for Mike & I every week.
