slowlyunfoldingIt is a marvellous rainy day. Also, rather dark. I feel like there is a hush surrounding today, like being in a big library. Also, I feel so much better today. I'm attributing it to the restorative yoga class I went to last night. Being supported by props to be able to stay in poses longer than usual is awesome. Except for supta baddha konasana, I could sleep in that pose. Well, I actually have slept in that pose, so whatever. I'd link to the Yoga Journal version of that pose, but I do not like how they have depicted it.
Spoons. I forget what else I was going to write about. *ponders*
Oh, yes! While I was in the change room at yoga, I saw a sign about what organization the community class is donating the class proceeds to this month. I think the organization changes every month. (students pay a "what they can afford" to take the community class) I can't quite remember the name of the organzation, Care Partners.ca or Care International ??? I was pretty sure it was a dot 'ca' organization. Hmm. Possibly dot 'org.' Grah. Anyway, the program will be helping women in Kenya with a bag making class to help them be able to earn a living, and something else, and a couple of people are volunteering to go teach yoga there. (This is me trying to remember something post-yoga. It doesn't work.) The response I had to reading the part about 'teaching yoga in Kenya' my heart leap up and up and up. Not sure what that means yet, but it was an interesting insight.
Now, I've got to find socks + shoes + umbrella.
