slowlyunfoldingI set up a Dreamwidth account in April this year. It's an escape option, in case LJ becomes too weird to handle.
I've noticed strange things lately - going to LJ.com to log in, and the site was in Russian, but I wasn't looking at the LJ.ru version. By the way, have any of you looked at LJ.ru? Even though I don't read Russian, that version of LJ looks amazingly uncluttered. No foofy butterfly headers. It looks like a serious blogging platform. Anyway, that's one small thing. The latest site 'improvement' to repost comments to Facebook and Twitter just baffle me. There is enough spam in this world, let's not add to it. I'm sure we all remember the debacle of Strikethrough/Boldthrough, the Evil Breastfeeding icons/comms, the ... Sponsored journals.
Point yourself at slowlyunfolding.dreamwidth.org/ to find me there. If you see that journal pop up, it's me. I'm rapidly feeling sleepy & must lie down again, so I have ran out of steam to see if anyone else is on DW.
This journal would remain, I would simply crosspost to it from Dreamwidth.
I really like that I was able to customize DW to my liking without having to purchase a paid account and only using the 'customize journal' section without messing with the stylesheet. Yeah, there is only 15 icon slots on a free account, but to be honest, that is probably more than enough for me.
