Mike is away for a week to karate camp (his 29th!) so the apartment feels weird to me right now without his energy here. Earlier when I was sitting at the desk on the computer,  I randomly shoved the chair & footstool around. Then I had to bust out the broom and sweep the whole living room because there was a bit of dust/dirt under the chair. Hello nervous cleaning! I'm shocked at how easily it was to tidy up. Is this what living like a grown up is like? Being able to tidy up & not have to excavate the coffee table ... weird.

Also, I even made dinner for myself & had the foresight to make double for lunch tomorrow. WHAAT. The girls at work are going to freak out when I bring my lunch in. Like a boss. I even have fruit on my kitchen table. I am a badass.

I've been trying to write all day, but felt (feel) too scattered to get anything down on paper. There was a brief storm earlier, complete with thunder & lightning. The rain was coming down pretty steady & then it seemed like the bucket got tipped harder & it intensified. It's clouding up again, so I think there might be more rain coming. I'm going to relax, try to finish up a one project & start another & drink some chai.

Yay for being grown up. :D We could use more rain here - it was lovely this weekend because the rain cooled everything down. It's supposed to go back up to the high 90s or even 100s again this week.
