I'm exhausted. I didn't actually sleep last night, as swim in my own salt, and that sounds really dirty. No blankets, no sheets, and lots of sweating. It is simply so humid right now that breathing feels hard and tiring. I'm wearing a floaty shirt today and I hope nobody can actually see through it. Fact is, I really don't care if anyone can see through it.
On the gross & disgusting front, Mike discovered the garbage can was full of maggots. Not a pleasant way to start your day. I thought he had hurt himself or something and came running out of the bedroom. I have no idea how that happened, but I'm assuming it's due to the insane heat rocking right now.
Does anyone else get heat rashes? If so, how do you deal? I have fairly sensitive skin & all the sweating makes it angry.
Yoga tonight! yay. (Must remember to hydrate all day.) I might as well go since Mike is off teaching karate tonight as per usual.
PS. I am not complaining that it is too hot. I love the summer, but seriously, when I sweat through my pillow at night, that is just wrong.

Date: 2010-07-06 02:36 pm (UTC)Maybe you could try something like Gold Bond powder? A little dusting of it can keep you from sweating and getting prickly heat/heat rashes. My skin is fairly sensitive & I've never had a bad reaction to the ingredients (it has a bit of menthol in it).

Date: 2010-07-06 11:05 pm (UTC)It's 31C right now, with the humidex it feels like 38C. So that is 86-100F after I converted it. I could handle it if it wasn't so dang humid!
