slowlyunfoldingToday felt like such a perfect summer day. It made me happy. Went to Guelph & got lost 3 times. Stupid construction blocking our known routes. I swear that nobody around here has ever heard of city planning & instead choose to lay streets out after Oktoberfest or some such revelry. I understand grids, I do not understand crooked streets that do not link up with other streets even when they should.
However, the walking around was awesome. (my feet/ankles hurt now though a little. boo) I got sun on my face & all is well. Visited two bookstores -- one in which the clerk knew my yoga teacher & it felt like a really small world; the other one was a used bookstore with books just stuffed every which a way. I had a freakish sugar dip & almost passed out, but luckily we found sustenance in time. The sugar dip came on me really fast.
Then we stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home for frosty goodness. Got home, sat down for about five minutes & totally passed out. BEST PART OF THE DAY. Woke up to Mike trying to figure out how to use Skype with our friends in Tokyo. He was like THE COMPUTER IS TALKING TO ME OMG I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Right now, I feel sleepy again, and also hungry. I shall have a word with my metabolism shortly.
