slowlyunfoldingWent to Mississauga to visit Mike's mum in the hospital today. On Friday she had triple bypass surgery. Then complications arose due to a leak in one of the sutures so she was rushed back into surgery the same day or early the next day. We found out today that she actually flatlined on the table. Apparently during this version of the operation, her heart was going to be beating throughout it. I have no idea how that is possible, but I will take the doctor's word for it. She seems like she is on the mend. It's hard to say because her health hasn't been very good since I've known her. When we were visiting, her nurse brought her a pill & once it started knocking her out, we left.
I am tired now from all the driving. We stopped in Guelph on the way back & had a bite to eat. Wandered a bookstore & hippie store. Then headed for home. In random news, I bought a Sharpie Pen today. So far, I seem to like it. Very smooth writing & hasn't bled through my journal pages.
