This Monday Business
Oct. 25th, 2010 03:31 pmI am feeling So Very Grumpy today. It's hot in the office, perhaps that
doesn't help much. My computer wouldn't let me log onto Outlook this morning
because of some other program conflicting with it, so that was very
annoying. Also, I think I've hit the wall for putting up with other people's
crap. I just "spoke" to a woman who actually didn't really let me get a word
in edgewise. I find those types of people very off putting. They simply
can't hear what anyone else is saying to them. Mostly I am just feeling worn
down. I attribute all of this to the weather & season. It's dark when I wake
up, & it feels dark all day in the office (because it is where I am), & *I
feel like I'm just going through the motions. *
Really, what it boils down to is the need to start a formal meditation
practice. I've been going to the restorative yoga class for the last couple
of weeks. It's been kicking my butt a little bit. Slowing down & staying put
is much more difficult than just rushing rushing through poses. I am going
to try to do 2 - 3 restorative poses a day. Possibly reserve an hour of time
just before bed, and hang out with myself. Now that I am smart & hip & like
so totally with it, & have figured out I can download my shows (& how to
download shows, like duh), I'm not tied to any particular schedule.
(although I know I need to watch during the original airing re: ratings)
